SUMMARY:COLLEAGUES & FRIENDS: INTERNS AND INTERNSHIPS
DESCRIPTION:Join Museum Hue’s Deputy Director\, Sierra Van Ryck deGroot\, and colleagues at our partner event with POWarts. \n________ \nJust how important are arts internships? Are they fair and equitable? If you’ve landed one\, how can you make the most of it? As a supervisor\, how can you create a better experience for interns? \nJoin us on February 15 for another Colleagues and Friends as we bring together three colleagues in the arts to discuss internships: the ones they have had\, the ones they have led\, and what they have learned working with the next generations of arts professionals. We will dive into what brought each of them to the arts\, advocating for interns in the industry\, and the role interns and professionals alike can play in building more sustainable careers in the arts. \nClick here to register!\nFREE ARTS NYC empowers youth from underserved communities through art and mentoring programs to develop their creativity\, confidence\, and skills to succeed.
